OCCRA 2000 REGIONAL TOURNAMENT CHECKLIST TEMPLATE
HOST SCHOOL: Pontiac Northern

REQUIRED OF HOST SCHOOL:

Scoreboard set up with control system and an announcer’s table and 4 chairs

14 Tables (one per team) capable of supporting 200lbs.

4 Tables for Drivers’ Stations (2 on each side of field) and 8 chairs

One table and 2 chairs for inspection area

One electrical outlet available for every 4 teams
-
Time reservation of facility from ___3:00P.M. until 9:00P.M.

Public address system with 2 microphones: at scorekeeper’s table and for play-by-play commentator (either mobile or with long cord)

Arrangements for the playing (or singing) of the National Anthem
-
Custodial service: have broom, carpet vacuum, trash cans & bags, mop & pail available

Meeting room or isolated table with 6 chairs where judges will confer

Map to school (to be sent to all teams)

Access to photocopier
OPTIONAL (SUGGESTED BUT NOT MANDATORY):
- Concession stand (could be a school fundraiser)
- School official to make welcoming remarks, assist with awards presentations…etc.
- Decorations
- Support staff (security, medical, administrative, custodial…etc. as is standard for host school)
- 2 TV monitors on roller carts with extension cords
- Barrier to set off pit area from playing area
- At least 6 volunteer workers to assist with running the event (serving as judges, announcing, passing out programs, running recharging station, helping to stage teams, runner for officials’ table…etc.)
- Stanchions to cordon off playing area from spectators (OCCRA has flagging material)
- DJ, music, sound system for music (or OCCRA can provide all 3)
- Video projection system and screen (OCCRA may be able to get projector if needed)
- Special acknowledgments or inserts for tournament program
